Strength training 30 to 40 minutes twice a week for 4 months, could increase an average woman’s resting metabolism by 100 calories a day, meaning you’ll be burning calories even when you’re not exercising. Weight training will also improve bone density, overall strength, fitness and is a great stress reducer.
Anyone telling a woman she shouldn’t lift weights because she’ll get “Too bulky and look like a man” has no idea what they’re talking about. Period.
